It was past 12 in the night
I was standing in an almost empty, dark and eerie suburban railway station. Alone. If you don’t count a group of three scary looking transvestites , who were talking very loudly in Mumbai slang, also there was a shady looking man standing a few feet away, he looked a little stoned and he was staring at me.
I was almost freaking out because of the stares but I had to get myself a ticket home...
herzundseele-deactivated2011010 asked: Thank you for recommending my blog! :D It made my day (night lol, it's 1:16am now). I am so very honored!
I'm keeping you in my prayers still- and you know how to reach me if you decide that you need to talk. :)

The demolisher of desires
The Prophet [s] said, ‘Increase the remembrance of the demolisher of desires.’
He was asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is the demolisher of desires?’
He said, ‘Death, for the most sagacious of believers are those who remember death the most and are the most prepared for it.’
[Bihar al-Anwar, v. 82, p. 167, no. 3]

Islam honors striving for worldly affairs.
A person came to Imam Jaffer Sadiq(a.s) and said “O Master!I love the world.”
Imam asked “What will you do if you acquire it?
The man said “I will marry, perform pilgrimage of the House of Allah, spend on my family and help my Muslim brethren”
Imam exclaimed “This is not the world, it is the hereafter!”

The definition of youth
Imām Ja’far ibne Muhammad as-Sadiq (a.s.) said the following to Sulaymān ibne Ja’far Al-Hadhalī: “O’ Sulaymān, what is meant by a young person [Al-Fatā]?”
He said, “May I be sacrificed for your sake. In our opinion, a young person [Al-Fatā] is a youth [Al-Shābb].”
The Imām said to me,
“However you should know that surely the Companions of the Cave [Aṣḥābul Kahf] were all old people,...
