I agonize over a marriage proposal for days.
Finally reject it. And just when I am about to relax another one comes along. And this time it’s tricky because it’s a cousin.

Finished reciting ziarate ashura.
It’s a cool and windy night and the moon is shining bright. I’m lying in bed staring at the beautiful night sky. It’s a lovely view from my fourth floor bedroom window. Alhamdulillah for everything :) I’m hoping that the all India bandh or shutdown called by the opposition to protest the fuel price hike by the government is effective then I won’t have to go to work...

A person has to do a lot of soul searching before getting married and your conviction and faith in Allah is really tested. In the last month, I have refused five marriage proposals because the guys were not religious enough. I thought it would be easy but it isn’t. I really don’t like saying no. I get pressured by relatives because everything is perfect except the religious part....

Real worship.
A number of pilgrims were narrating their experiences of Hajj to Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (‘a), and recounting their views about their fellow pilgrims. One person was immensely impressed by a fellow pilgrim and said, ‘He was truly pious and an indefatigable worshipper of Allah. Whenever we broke journey to rest for the night, he retired to a secluded place, spread out his prayer mat and got engrossed...

So I wished my friend a belated Happy Birthday and she told me in a sad voice that her husband forgot her birthday too. I felt bad for her. Her husband is extremely insensitive and is not bothered about her feelings at all.

MohSIDE: How The Imams (AS) Worshipped →
mohside: Worship Of Imam Ali (a.s) When the time for prayers arrived he used to pale. Once, someone inquired about this. Umar, Halal Chicken and my pious younger brother.
Everyone who reads my blog knows that I have a very pious younger brother called Mohammad. I’m not kidding when I say he is very pious. I absolutely adore him. It seems that all the religiousness of my parents has gone in one child! Anyway, Mohammad is very careful of what he eats. He usually doesn’t eat anything from outside not even bread or milk and since we live in India he thinks almost...

So, the boy’s sister asked me, “Can you cook?” I said,”Yes, but I’m out of practice.” Then the sister said,”My brother loves good food. Can you make Biryani?” I said,”No.” She laughed and said,”That’s ok. We will teach you!”

Something younger and interesting: article ideas.
Guys, I need your help. Some one I know needs to write an article for a newsletter. The theme given is very vague “something younger and interesting”. An example given was tattoos. Can you all please suggest any topic ideas based on the theme. Since there are so many young people here, it could be anything you find interesting!

I discovered draw something for Android.
It’s fun! You are given a word, you have to draw something to illustrate the word and the person you are playing with has to guess what the word is on the basis of your drawing. You can play with your Facebook friends or random people online. It’s really fun! But I’m afraid it’s taking too much of my time. I am getting late for work.
