I’ve the Bhagavad Gita app installed in my phone because well, I’m reading the book.
Now, anyone who goes through the apps in my phone is very surprised. My Hindu friends are surprised because they can’t believe that a Muslim would be interested in reading the Gita, also most of them haven’t read the book themselves! My muslim friends also think it’s really strange that I would read it.
Now that I’m reading the book(I’m on chapter four), I don’t know why I didn’t read it before! I believe that the scriptures of any religion tell us the highest level of morality the followers of that religion can aspire to. It’s important for me to know what the followers of the majority faith in my country aspire to.
Also, I’m a psychologist, so it will help me to do therapy with my practising Hindu clients.
