We are being tested according to our connection with Imame Zamana(as).
Are we going to be like the people of Kufa who abandoned the Imam of their time?
certain Muslims suggest that one of the reasons the Imam of our time (aj) will appear is because of the level of scrutiny, corruption, and chaos that will take place on this earth.
I don’t think that’s true.
Allah Almighty testifies in Quran of the Angels’ pleas to Allah…
When the Imam(as) himself doesn’t know the real reason for his occultation or when he will reappear. I don’t think we should speculate and say we know when he will reappear or what will cause his reappearance.
Because the fact is that we don’t know. Only Allah knows.
Picture I took of the stage after a function commemorating the birthday of Imam e Zamana(as). This chair was used as a prop for a play which told the story of a Sayyid who was imprisoned by a tyrant ruler. The Sayyid prayed to Imam for help and he was released miraculously.
the strange thing is that I know why I’m like this. I know the cause. It’s because I’m not pious enough. I’m just too worldly. I’m expecting this world to make me happy. I think if my financial problems get solved, I’ll be happy. I think if I get married I’ll become happy. I don’t feel close to Allah or the Imam(as). I pray regularly but it’s a chore. I recite the Quran because I’m supposed to.
I feel so spiritually empty. So scared about the future and so anxious. When I was younger I was really close to Imame Zamana(as), now I don’t feel a connection. It’s been ages since I’ve written to him.
I can only pray the Dua of the drowning man( Dua e Ghareek),
“YA ALLAHO YA REHMAN YA RAHEEM YA MUQALLEBAL QULOOB SABIT QALBI ALA DEENAIK”
“O Allah! O Beneficent! O Merciful.O One who changes the hearts (of people). Give me steadfastness upon Your religion.”°
This world is so confusing. I don’t know what to believe in anymore. It would have been so easy to clear our doubts if Imam wasn’t in ghaibat. I hope Imam(as)’s zuhoor happens soon. Inshaallah.
This is a true story that happened in 1980 in Iraq . As you may all know, Iraq was ruled by Saddam at that time and he was oppressing people to gain superiority . The army of Saddam caught several people who opposed them and their cruel views for the sake of justice and put them in jail (prison) .
There was a man (whom I have his name) that was in prison for over a year . Each night, the army of saddam came and visited each person in prison to hit them on their back with a hard stick for 100 times that the effect would remain.. Each night ,the same routine happened and the man would always supplicate and call ”Ya Mahdi Adrikni”. . He wondered why the Imam never answers his call .
One night, during his dream , he had the chance of meeting Imam Mahdi . The man asked him ” O Imam , why is it that when I call upon you for help , you never answer ?” And the Imam said ”How many times do they hit you ?” The man said ”100 times !” and the Imam said ” how many marks of stick do you have on your back?” The man replied ” a few.. 9 or 10 ” . The imam said ”Who do you think took the 90 others ? ” .. The Imam then turned and showed his back to the man .. The huge painful marks appeared ..
Lesson : Even though we may not realize it, The Imam helps us when we call him .. and I’m sure that he expects a return from us such as a prayer for him to hasten his reappearance .
He feels happy when he sees our good deeds and weeps when he sees our sins.
There is a hadith in which Imam (as) has said that he cries day and night over the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as). He cries tears of blood over his martyrdom.
Is it correct that we make our Imam(as) weep due to our deeds? Since we claim to love Imam (as) shouldn’t we try our best to make Imam (as) smile?
The Answers to the Questions mentioned below, have been given by Imam Mahdi(AS) himself. These replies have been compiled from various letters that were sent to him (AS) in the course of his Ghaibat. To that extent the letters of Imam (AS) constitute “half a meeting” with him.
Hadhrat Ayatollah Sayyed Hasan Shirazi (may Allah purify his soul) has compiled these letters in a book by the name of “Kalemat al-Imam al-Mahdi”. This single book contains all the letters of Imam (AS) which are found in different books.

Is a book in which the author has collected replies that Imam Mahdi(as) has written to the letters which were sent to him. Needless to say, the book is a gem. I know that it is available in Persian and Urdu. I have the Urdu version. Some portions of it have been translated into English in a very interesting question answer format and is available online. As far as I’m aware the book as a whole has not been translated into English. I wish someone would do it.
I’m thinking of telling my students about imam Mahdi (as) tomorrow. A story of someone in distress meeting Imam Mahdi (as) but I can’t decide which story to choose. The students are small, around 11 to 15 yrs so I have to keep it as interesting as possible.
My aim as an Islamic class teacher is to inculcate the marefat of Imam(as) in the students. Also, I want to show them that it’s not uncool to be Islamic!I write letters but never email. Though I know people who do :)
Where is the uniter of the companions of virtue and divine pleasure?
Where is the Avenger of the blood of the prophets and the children of the Prophets?
Where is the seeker of revenge for the blood of the martyred ones of Karbala?
Where is the One who would destroy oppression and tyranny of the oppressors
-Dua an-Nudbah
The cry for Imam Mahdi (as) .
Today is Friday- the day when Imam will reappear and put an end to all the oppression in the world.
Please recite Dua an Nudbah and pray for his early reappearance.
How can people benefit from a hidden Imam?
i dont understand what exactly this means, mind helping me out?
Prophet Muhammad(sawa) has compared the occultation of the Imam(as) to the sun going behind the clouds. When the sun goes behind the clouds, people don’t stop benefiting from it or the sun doesn’t cease to exist! It is just hidden from view otherwise people can derive all the benefits of the sun. Similarly, even though our Imam(as) is hidden from us. His existence is still of benefit to us.
Imam e Zamana(as) himself has said;”And had our guardianship and protection not been there, then the calamities would have surrounded you from all sides and destroyed you”
We may forget our Imam(as) but he never forgets us. He prays for us, helps us in our difficulties and weeps over our sins(which according to some narrations are presented to him every week).
