To be with the truthful

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent the Merciful.

“Hate no one, no matter how much they’ve wronged you. Live humbly, no matter how wealthy you become. Think positively, no matter how hard life is. Give much, even if you’ve been given little. Keep in touch with the ones who have forgotten you, and forgive who has wronged you, and do not stop praying for the best for those you love.” — ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (as)

A book can make or break your life. Quite literally.

I don’t do “leisure” reading anymore. I have to read so much for work, I am always reading some book on psychology either for professionals or laymen. And ofcourse I have to read Islamic books because I study and teach Islam and (even if i didn’t) I believe that gaining Islamic knowledge is the most important thing in the world.
So, currently I’m reading “Born to Win”, it is based on transactional analysis and gestalt principles. It’s for laypeople as well as psychologists. It’s quite an awesome book.
Also, I am reading “Istea’za” it is a collection of lectures by the late martyr Ayatullah Shirazi (author of Greater Sins: an awesome book,a must read for all young muslims). Istea’za is about the shaitan. It is about how the shaitan deviates us and how we should seek protection from him. It’s really an eyeopener. We don’t really realize how hard shaitan works to deviate us, how he tries to make sure that we don’t do any good or if he do any good we nullify it by showing off or pride. Every one should read it. It’s really informative and it’s available online.
