“Hate no one, no matter how much they’ve wronged you. Live humbly, no matter how wealthy you become. Think positively, no matter how hard life is. Give much, even if you’ve been given little. Keep in touch with the ones who have forgotten you, and forgive who has wronged you, and do not stop praying for the best for those you love.” — ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (as)

I recently read traditions strongly condeming Tafsir bi al Ray (interpreting the holy quran according to subjective opinions) and I confused it with acting on the literal meanings of the Holy Quran. Then I read this article by Sayyid Khui (May Allah have mercy on his soul) and it cleared all my doubts.

O you who believe, respond to Allah and His messenger as they call you to that which gives you life.
Holy Qur’an (Anfaal:24)
“that which gives you life.” :)
Be not like those who forgot Allah, so he made them forget their own souls…
Holy Quran (59:19)

Say, “O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.”-Holy Quran (3:26)

And do not mix up the truth with the falsehood, nor hide the truth while you know (it).

“O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not…

[Qur’an - Luqmaan 31:14]
Say: “My prayer and my rites, my living and my dying, are for Allah alone, the Lord of all the worlds.

(Surat al-An’am: 162) (via redblackbeerback)

I love this ayah.

Truly my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
Holy Quran (6:162) (via heartparade)
Every soul shall have a taste of death. In the end to Us shall you be brought back.

Holy Quran 29:57

Are we ready for death?

And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.
